Despite the truce, hostilities continued in Syria on January 3, 2017. The rebels shot the villages in the central province of Hama. In the evening, the government offensive, helped by Hezbollah fighters, continued over Wadi Barada (a strategic location, 15 km. north of Damas, due to its water sources). Air-raids and explosive barrels attacks have intensified, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, causing at least 10 deaths and several injured.
